3 Books that Celebrate Friendship (and why we love them)

At Dispatched Divorcée, we know that friendships are the glue that holds us together—especially when life gets messy (you know what we’re talking about). So, we put together a quick list of three books of our favorite books that show us that, yeah, it’s OK to lean on your friends, grow with them, and celebrate with them. Sometimes through tears.

From true stories that hit right in the feels to fiction that takes you on a journey, these books remind us why friendships matter just as much—if not more—than any romantic relationship.

Here’s are three books that celebrate friendship that we’re loving right now:

  1. I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This, But I’m Going to Anyway by Chelsea Devantez – This one’s like a love letter to all the women in her life, and honestly, I’ve never read anything that celebrates friendships quite like this.
  2. Big Friendship by Aminatou Sow & Ann Friedman – If you’ve ever wondered what makes a friendship last through all of life’s phases, moves, and emotional rollercoasters, this is the book. It’s honest, beautiful, and full of those “yep, I’ve been there” moments.
  3. The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer – For when you want to escape into a novel, this story about summer camp besties growing up and growing apart (and together again) will pull you right in.
