Our international origin story
Bonjour, gruezi, salve, konichiwa, hallo, ciao!
Hi, I’m Laura — your favorite international dispatched divorcée and the founder of this global community for women navigating life after divorce.
I created Dispatched Divorcée because I couldn’t find what I needed when I was going through my own divorce. I was the first of my friends to split. There were no guidebooks, no safe communities, and definitely no cheeky merch to say, “You’re not broken — you’re in‑between.”
After my divorce, I moved from the U.S. to Europe to Japan and back again — searching for something I couldn’t quite name. Eventually, I realized I wasn’t just building a new life, I was finding myself inside it.
So I built what I needed:
- A place for women who are separated, divorced, or figuring out what comes next
- A global community where you can feel seen, supported, and understood
- A space for connection, retreats, real talk, thoughtful gifts — and a little fun
- A reminder that you don’t have to go back to what was. You get to decide what’s next.
If you’ve been looking for something like this too, you’re in the right place.
Welcome, friend. We’re about to have a lot of fun.
Welcome to the most exclusive club none of us meant to join.
