About Dispatched Divorcée
What is Dispatched Divorcée?
Dispatched Divorcée is a community for women who are defining, building, and on-their-way to thriving in the chapter of their lives after divorce. We take the shame out of divorce and put you back in the center of your life.
We believe:
- In feeling our feelings, which might look like crying in the center of a Mexican restaurant without feeling ashamed.
- We are all going through this at our own pace. There is no timeline, though we might desperately want one.
- This is an opportunity to create the life we’ve always wanted–and it’s hard.
- We are not alone, but sometimes, we might want or need to be alone.
Founded by author, speaker, and community builder Laura Howe, Dispatched Divorcée is what she wished existed during her divorce. The goal is to turn your divorce from a tragic event into one of the best opportunities of your life.
How will this help me get through my divorce?
The Welcome Kit is your curated invitation into the community. With it, you receive:
- Access to a community of women who know what you’re going through because they’re going through it too. This community is here for you as you start this new adventure.
- A gift box of items intentionally curated for you – providing tools for connection, joy, and introspection.
We know that everyone’s divorce experience is different and there is no one-size-fits-all “solution” to get “through it” faster.
But we do believe strongly that this will help. At least make the journey feel a little less lonely, a little less grueling. And just wait until you get to the other side. 🙂
Do I have to be divorced to order from you?
We welcome anyone who might benefit from the Welcome Kit to grab one ASAP. The items inside are meant to feel like a warm hug—no matter who receives them.
That said, it’s important to acknowledge that access to the community is intended for women who are divorced or about to go through one. Our members are going through a very vulnerable period in their lives and we take responsibility for supporting them very seriously. We owe it to them to ensure their safety.
Dispatched Divorcée has zero tolerance for harmful language or actions. People in our community should have a shared goal of healing for everyone involved.
If you received this box and a starter membership to the community but are not going through a divorce yourself, the Dispatched Divorcée community might not be able to support you. Please contact us and we’ll see how we can work something out.
Is this a subscription box service?
No, the Welcome Kit is a limited-run, one-time delivery.
However, after the starter membership to the community expires, your membership access to the Dispatched Divorcée community will automatically convert to a renewable monthly subscription membership.
I have an idea for something to include in your next box! How do I tell you about it?
That’s so thoughtful! We’d love to hear how your idea could help women heal during their divorce.
The items in our boxes are thoughtfully curated according to the following categories. In your email, please include how the item you’re pitching fits into one (or more!) of the following:
Categories:
- Connection: Items that make people feel less alone.
- Joy: Items that remind women it’s OK to laugh even if they feel so very sad.
- Reflection: Items that help women “do the work” in easy, straightforward ways.
- Adventure: Items that inspire women to move forward, get out there, and experience the world. That’s what we’re all about at our core.
Examples of previous item selections:
- Books: Fiction, nonfiction, or memoirs by authors who have gone through a divorce or about the divorce experience.
- Stationery: Journals, cards, pens, pencils, and other tools that facilitate communication and connection.
- Toys and silly stuff: We love stickers, toys, and all those little unusual objects that make you laugh.

I’m a designer. Can I work with you on items in your next box?
We’re eager to expand our box offerings and would love to hear from designers, illustrators, and other artists.
Please send an email to hello@dispatcheddivorcee.com with “Designer pitch” or “collaboration” in the subject line. Please include information about yourself (a CV or relevant link to your portfolio or social media works great), the project you’d like to collaborate on, and why you’d be a good fit for our community of divorcées.
Pro tip: See what we’re looking for when sourcing items (^it’s in the answer right above). We have a soft spot for vintage designs, 90s nostalgia, and anything that takes a stereotype and flips it on its head, especially if it was curated from an international perspective or fills our lust for adventure and travel.
Orders
Can I send the box to a friend? Will it come wrapped as a gift?
Yes, you absolutely can send this box to a friend. The contents of each box are wrapped and packaged so that when opened, they feel like a warm hug—whether you order it for yourself or a friend.
Select “ship to a different address or to a friend” during checkout. There is also a space to include a note about your package, such as a customized note (free of charge!).
Can I purchase items in the box separately?
Unfortunately, we only sell items as part of the Welcome Kit right now.
Are the products in the box suitable for all ages?
Products are intended for adults aged 18 years or older. (We sincerely hope that minors don’t need our services…)
I’m looking for a similar gift box for a team or group. Do you offer custom gift boxes for groups?
Yes! We would love to build a custom box for you and your group.
Our services include identifying your group’s needs, finding the right solution to fit your goal and budget, sourcing the perfect items for your theme (at bulk or wholesale pricing), and packaging everything in beautiful wrapping.
We can even ship the boxes directly to your group!

- Minimum order: 15 or more boxes
- Pricing: Depends on the number and choice of items or can be based on a predefined budget
- Turnaround time: 2 to 3 months to procure items
And, no, it’s not required for everyone in your group to be divorced to benefit from our services. 🙂 Our goal is to help inspire confidence and build resilience in all people.
Community
When does the 3-month Starter Membership begin?
The 3-month Starter Membership begins when you activate your account.
How do I access the community?
You will receive an email with how to activate your membership account by email.
What happens after the 3-months are up?
After three months, your starter membership will automatically convert to a recurring monthly membership. The amount you will be billed at this time will be listed at check-out.
Am I required to continue my membership?
Nope, not at all–if you received all the support you need, you are not obligated to continue your membership.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PostFinance.
Please note that you will see “Laura Howe Media” on your credit card statement as Dispatched Divorcée is a registered brand of Laura Howe Media.
What currency do you bill in?
You will be charged in Euros (Eur).
Please note that your bank or credit card provider might charge you a foreign transaction fee. Dispatched Divorcée and Laura Howe Media are not responsible for these fees; they are the customer’s sole responsibility.
Are there any added taxes or fees?
All orders and items subject to value-added tax (VAT) or sales tax, will be added to the sale price at checkout.
If you live outside of Switzerland, your country may require customs fees upon the box’s arrival in your country. Dispatched Divorcée and Laura Howe Media are not responsible for these fees; they are the recipient’s sole responsibility.
Returns & Refunds
What’s your return policy?
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns.
What is your cancelation policy?
Charges are processed immediately when an order is placed. If you need to cancel your order, please do so within 24 hours of placing the order. After 24 hours, all paid orders are locked in and cannot be canceled or refunded.
What do I do if something in my box is damaged?
We’re sorry to hear that an item in your box arrived damaged. If part of your shipment arrived damaged, please email us at hello@dispatcheddivorcee.com within 14 days of the box’s delivery. In your email, please include a photo of the item and your order number–we’re happy to help as best as we can.
I’ve already read the book included in your box. Can I get a refund for the duplicate book?
We understand how frustrating this can be. The Welcome Kit is a personalized box and cannot be returned entirely or in part.
Shipping
Does it come with "divorcée" written on the outside of the package?
Your package will come shipped from “Laura Howe Media” and while it will have design elements on the outside of the box, it will not say “Divorcée.” 😉
When will my box ship?
Your order will be packaged and shipped within 2–3 business days of placing your order.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs will be calculated during checkout and will vary based on the delivery address. We strive to provide a variety of options and the most economical solution.
I live outside of Switzerland. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! We ship from Switzerland to almost every country in the world. Shipping costs vary depending on the destination.
Please note that your country may require customs fees upon the box’s arrival. Dispatched Divorcée is not responsible for these fees; they are the recipient’s sole responsibility.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery depends on the destination. If you choose shipping via postal carrier, estimated delivery times are as follows:

Can I track my order?
Every order comes with tracking. Tracking numbers are sent by email after the package ships. Tracking may be unreliable for international shipments once they leave Switzerland.
My package did not arrive, what do I do?
Oh no! We’re sorry to hear that. If it’s been longer than the estimated shipping time, please contact us with as much information as possible, including your order number. We’re happy to help figure out what happened and how to resolve this.
