Just Be: A Sharing Retreat for Divorced Women
Chemin, Switzerland -- in the Valais Alps
A soul-nourishing slumber party in the Swiss Alps, hosted by Dispatched Divorcée.
We’re gathering in the Alps – not just to rest and reflect, but to share.
The women I’m inviting? You. Women I know. Women I admire. Women who’ve walked through fire – divorce, loss, reinvention – and have come out with something to share. A talent. A story. A scent. A practice. A point of view.
This is not a retreat with a fixed curriculum. It’s a village moment. One where we get to sit in a circle and pass the thread. Some of us are artists. Some of us are healers. Some of us are in-between where we came from and where we’re going. And all of us have something we carry and something we’re still learning.

What to expect...
There will be yoga and rest, yes. And there will also be:
- Morning journaling prompts over coffee
- A soul-writing and visualization workshop
- A gentle group hike in the Alps
- A scent-led meditation ritual
- A sharing circle with movement and reflection
- A surprise summer book, just for you
- Custom cocktails based on your taste and truth
- A slumber party (popcorn, pajamas, oracle cards… you’ll see)
- A guided session to meet your Inner Mentor
These are not services. These are our shares.
Gifts offered woman to woman, without agenda, without hierarchy. Perhaps, in the spirit of the matriarchy. A practice of mutual recognition and deep, easy belonging.
This is not about being productive. It’s about being in practice.
Of showing up with what you have.
Of trusting that it matters.
Of weaving your gifts into the fabric of someone else’s healing.

The Setting: The Swiss Alps, Valais
Where the world gets quiet, and so do you.
Perched 1,200 meters above the Rhône Valley, our home for the weekend is Beau Chemin—a warm, wood-built chalet nestled deep in the Valais Alps. Surrounded by larch forest and sun-drenched peaks, the air is crisp, the views are sweeping, and the silence? Soul-level.
We’ve chosen a place that feels both grounding and expansive.
A haven of stillness—where you can hear yourself think again.
Inside, you’ll find simple, cozy accommodations designed for rest. Each guest will have a private room with a shared bathroom—perfect for curling up with a book, a journal, or just your own thoughts. Shared spaces include a light-filled veranda, a panoramic yoga studio, and reading nooks that invite exhale energy.
It’s not luxury. It’s better: it’s enough.
A place that invites you to take off the mask, leave your shoes at the door, and just be.

Nourishment without the hustle
Because healing takes energy and deserves care.
At the Just Be retreat, every meal is more than food. It’s part of your exhale.
Prepared fresh on-site, the cuisine at Beau Chemin is 100% plant-based, organic, and seasonally inspired, rooted in a deep respect for both your body and the earth.
Their food philosophy is built around slowness, simplicity, and sustainability:
🌱 All meals are vegan and cooked from scratch
🌾 Ingredients are mostly local—from farms in Valais and across Switzerland
🍽️ Buffets are generous, colorful, and always made with whole, unprocessed foods
☕ Unlimited hot drinks at every meal (yes, really)
Menus change based on what’s in season, and every dish is crafted to nourish without overwhelming. You can expect long brunches, warm soups, vibrant vegetables, and desserts that feel like a hug.
All dietary needs are happily accommodated—just let us know in advance.
And no, you won’t need to cook, clean, or think too hard about what’s next. You just have to show up. We’ll handle the rest.

Meet your host
Hi, I’m Laura—an international divorcée, community builder, and the founder of Dispatched Divorcée. I’ve spent the last 20 years creating global communities for brands, startups, and social impact organizations. But none of that compares to the journey of rebuilding my own life after divorce.
After my split, I moved from the U.S. to Switzerland to Japan and back to Switzerland again—all with my cat, Minnie. What I craved most wasn’t advice. It was a space. A space to feel seen, to process the hard stuff, and to start imagining who I could become.
That’s what this retreat is. And that’s what I’m holding for you.
As a host, my superpower is creating grounded, welcoming environments where women can feel at ease—where nothing has to be “figured out,” and no part of you is too much. I’ll guide our workshops and gatherings, but more importantly, I’ll help you hold space for yourself. With warmth, curiosity, and just the right amount of structure, I help you hear your own voice again.
Whether you’re craving clarity, community, or just a soft place to land, you’ll be in good hands here.
This is your time. I’ll be with you every step of the way.

Does this sound like you?
We’re creating a weekend that reflects the truest thing I learned about life after divorce: You don’t do it alone. You do it in sisterhood.
If you’ve been called to share your work in ways that feel soft, real, and human, not performative or polished, this weekend is where you belong.
It’s not a stage. It’s a fireside.
