Ladies' Night comes to Basel. And we're making a whole week of it.
What is Ladies’ Night at Basel Art Summer Camp?
Ladies’ Night is our live storytelling show where women share true personal stories on stage about the messy, liberating chapters of life after divorce. This time, we’re taking the show on the road to Basel in collaboration with an event that feels made for us.
Basel Art Summer Camp is an independently-run art fair that happens during Basel art week in Switzerland (June 16–20). Every year, they select a group of emerging artists to live and work at the venue for the entire fair. The magic of this event is that you don’t just see their art, you get to meet the artists, take workshops with them, and hang out together. It’s a fully immersive way to experience the art world.
This year, they invited us to host a Ladies’ Night show in the middle of it all. And we said yes immediately. It doesn’t get more Dispatched Divorcée than that. 🙂
The theme for this show is The Art of Beautifying Your Life: what it looks like to make your life more beautiful after divorce by putting yourself in the center of your story.
A storytelling show for divorcées and the friends who love them.
The Art of Beautifying Your Life
Ladies’ Night is a curated evening of true, personal stories — the kind that make the room go quiet and then erupt in emotion.
We’ll begin at Basel Art Summer Camp with an apéro and gallery tour with the artists-in-residence. Then, we’ll start the show, which will feature 3 or 4 storytellers sharing how they’ve brought beauty into their lives. After the show, the Hyve becomes our after-party.
The stories will be in English. Come alone or bring a friend!
- Date: Thursday, June 18th, 2026
- Time: Apéro and gallery tour with the artists at 18h30. The show starts at 19h00.
- Where: Hyve Basel — Gempenstrasse 64, 4053 Basel, Switzerland

Everyone is welcome — regardless of civil status, gender, or whether you’ve been to a Ladies’ Night before. The stories are created for women rebuilding life after divorce, but the room is open to all.

The Divorcée Retreat at Basel Art Summer Camp
5 days. 6 women. Bunk beds, affordable art, and the beginning of your hot divorcée summer.
Basel Art Summer Camp is one of my favorite events of the year. Now in its third year, it’s become a staple of Basel art week. It’s a week about immersing yourself in the art world, taking in the beauty, and finding inspiration everywhere.
Last year, I was on a panel about collecting art where I shared stories about how I curated art for the first home I built for myself after my divorce — an important milestone in any divorcée’s life and one that helped me feel like I belonged to this new chapter I was in.
This year, I want to share the magic of Basel Art Summer Camp with you.
I have booked a private, 6-bed dorm room at the Hyve where the artists are staying. I want to fill it with divorced women and experience summer camp and art week together.
Yes, we will be staying in bunk beds and sharing showers with other residents. The Hyve and summer camp will be our home base. Each day, we’ll explore the art fair, get to know the artists, take workshops, and be the hype squad during Ladies’ Night. We’ll also go to Art Basel together (this is included in the package) and take a swim in the Rhine.
This retreat is open to members of the Dispatched Divorcée community, women who are divorced or in-between, and our female friends (single, married, divorced, or not).
And it’s perfect for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the art world and do it with friends.
One bunk is mine — only 2 spots are left. <3

"Being surrounded by women who completely understood what I was going through made all the difference."
What is Basel Art Summer Camp?
Basel Art Summer Camp is the affordable, welcoming, independently-run art fair that happens the same week as Art Basel — set up inside the Hyve Hostel, just a 3-minute walk from Basel’s central train station.
Every year, a new group of emerging artists transforms the Hyve lobby into a gallery, art shop, and creative hub. There are workshops, talks, performances, and original work you can actually buy. It’s the side of Basel Art Week that feels like it was made for people who love art, not just collectors.
Daily free entry to the gallery and art shop. Some workshops and talks are ticketed and require advanced registration to secure your spot. Full schedule, here.
