An in‑person workshop for anyone who’s tired of their divorce story orbiting around the ex. Laura and Cathlene will help you shift the center of gravity back to you — your turning points, your voice, your arc. Through live coaching, writing, and workshopping in the room, you’ll learn how to hold your story differently so you walk away with more of yourself, not less.

Description:
Most divorce stories fall into one of two shapes: the villain arc or the victim wound – they did this, I survived that. And while that might be part of your story, it’s not your whole story. Or even the most interesting part.
This workshop is about finding your thread in a story that’s had too many other people in it.
Laura and Cathlene bring their combined experience as storytellers, coaches, and Ladies’ Night veterans to one question: how do you tell your divorce story so that you are the center of it?
This is about learning how to hold the story differently, so that when you tell it, you walk away with more of yourself, not less.
This is a roughly 2-hour workshop with breaks. Class will finish around 16:30 and will be followed by a small apéro to celebrate the end of the day.
What we’ll cover:
This is for you if: You’ve tried to tell your story and it keeps sliding back toward him/her/them. You want to own your story, not someone else’s version of it.

Facilitators: Cathlene Bell and Laura Howe

While I may not have the answers you desperately want, I have been where you’re at right now. I know how overwhelming everything feels right now. I know that you feel so alone and don’t know what to do.
Don’t worry, I got you.
When I was going through my separation and divorce, all I wanted to do was make the world stop moving so I could take a breath and try to believe that everything was going to be OK. (ugh!) That’s why I created this kit; to help you pause for a minute, remember that you are loved, and that you come first.
Included inside is an invitation to join the Dispatched Divorcée community—a membership in the most exclusive club none of us meant to join. Filled with support, resources, and programs to help you move from the hot mess of your divorce to figuring it out and finally arriving in the place that all seasoned divorcées talk about … when it’s finally better.
When you unbox your welcome kit, I hope it feels like you just received a hug from a friend—a friend who has been there and knows that you will get through it, too.
XO, Laura
