This is the community for women navigating divorce and life after it. It’s the kind of thing Laura needed during her own divorce, and couldn’t find anywhere. It’s here now, for you.

two best friends supporting during divorce women

Divorce support group for women — the kind of community I needed during my own divorce, here for you.

Our international origin story

Hi, I’m Laura — your favorite favorite international dispatched divorcée and the founder of this community for women navigating life after divorce, no matter where in the world they find themselves.

I created Dispatched Divorcée because I couldn’t find what I needed when I was going through my own divorce. I was the first of my friends to split. When it happened, there were no guidebooks, no safe communities, and definitely no cheeky merch to remind me that I’m not broken, I’m in-between.

After my divorce, I moved from the U.S. to Europe to Japan and back again, searching for something I couldn’t quite name. It took a few years until I realized that I wasn’t just building a new life, I was finding myself inside it.

So I built this community as a space that I needed:

  • a place for women who are separated, divorced, or figuring out what comes next
  • a community where you are seen, supported, and understood
  • a space for connection, honest conversations, new adventures, and some fun, and
  • a reminder that you get to decide what’s next.

If you’ve been looking for something like this too, you’re in the right place.

Welcome, friend. I’m sorry you went through what you did to get here, and I’m also glad that you’re here.
